About Jamie Borden

P.O.S.T. certified in 1997, a police veteran of a large Police Department in Nevada, Sergeant Jamie Borden was tasked with the creation and implementation of the “Use of Force Training and Analysis Unit” for the agency. The unit was created specifically to identify and analyze police performance issues related to police use-of-force and police training.

In addition to successfully completing the Certification in Force Analysis course from the Force Science Institute, Borden was also the first person in the world to complete the Advanced Force Science Specialist Program created by the Institute holding that Certification independently for nearly three years.

Jamie is court certified as an expert in the Following Topics: Controversial Use of Force, Police Performance Dynamics, Forensic Video Examination, Officer/subject movement dynamics, Controversial Officer-Involved Shootings, and Attentional Issues related to Officer Involved Critical Incidents, Police Training and Police Policy, Procedure and Practice.

Sgt. Borden is currently lecturing for C.I.R. and formerly with the Force Science Institute; training & Lecturing officers nationwide in Police Performance and dynamics related to force encounters and decision-making as applicable to the law enforcement profession.
